Working Conference of the
Canadian Association for the Study of Language and Learning
May 9-12, 2002
STANHOPE BY THE SEA
Prince Edward Island
This is the Web site for Inkshed 19, the annual Working Conference of the Canadian Association for the Study of Language and Learning. The 2002 conference featured a return to the scheduled reading time format initiated at the Inkshed 14 conference, along with presentations, interactive sessions, and poster sessions on issues ranging from email in the workplace and the classroom, to responding to student writing, to the interactions between genres and response. And, of course, the traditional low-stakes talent night, and this year's innovation: lobster season opens. For a more extended description of what we planned to achieve at this conference, see the call for proposals, in the last Inkshed Newsletter.
To get a hint of what we did achive, click on the conference program, with links to the edited inksheds responding to each. And you can also check the list of who achieved it, the inkshedders.
There is also an accumulating file of pictures from an Inkshed . . . and various texts and pictures from talent night.
The next conference, in the spring of 2003, will be in the Toronto area. More information will be available from the main Inkshed site.
